Place water and ajwain seeds in a saucepan and put it on the stove over medium heat. Bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the ajwain seeds simmer for approximately 5 minutes. This will infuse the water with the distinctive flavours of ajwain.
After 5 minutes, introduce the tea leaves (or tea bag) into the water. Allow the tea to steep for an additional 2-3 minutes, adjusting the steeping time based on your desired tea strength.
While the tea is steeping, incorporate ground ginger and ground turmeric into the saucepan. These spices will infuse the tea with a warm and aromatic essence.
Once the steeping is complete, remove the saucepan from the heat. Filter the tea into your cups to strain out the ajwain seeds and tea leaves.
Sweeten the tea with honey, adjusting the quantity to match your taste preferences.
Finally, add a splash of lemon juice to enhance the tea’s flavours and provide a refreshing touch.
Serve your homemade Ajwain Tea warm, revelling in its comforting and aromatic profile.
