Begin by preheating your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or 392°F (356°F fan).
Take the pizza dough and divide it into 12 equal portions, then shape them into round balls.
Use your hands to flatten each dough ball, forming small pizza bases.
Position a pre-cooked meatball at the centre of each dough circle.
Gently fold the edges of the dough over the meatball, ensuring a secure seal by pinching the dough closed around it.
Arrange the meatball-filled dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil to achieve a golden finish.
Spoon a small amount of tomato sauce onto each meatball sub bite and sprinkle them with grated mozzarella cheese.
Season each bite with dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown, and the cheese becomes melted and bubbly.
Once done, remove the bites from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
