Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add diced lamb pieces and cook until they turn brown.
Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and pulpy.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Pour in the water, cover the pan, and let the lamb cook for 40-45 minutes until tender.
Once the lamb is almost cooked, add sliced okra and cook until they are tender.
Sprinkle garam masala powder and mix gently.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice or chapati.
