In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh cilantro leaves, chopped onion, green chili, minced garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
Blend the ingredients until you get a smooth paste, adding 2 tablespoons of water to help with the blending process.
Scrape down the sides of the blender if needed to ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and stir in the lemon juice.
Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or lemon juice if necessary.
Serve the cilantro chutney as a condiment or dipping sauce with your favorite dishes.
