Ingredients

Meat Patty

  • 500 g Minced Meat Beef, preferably 20% fat
  • 1/2 Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Extras

  • 4 Burger Buns
  • 4 slices Cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Red Onion
  • Ketchup
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mince, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using your hands until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 2cm thick.
  • Heat a non-stick pan or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  • While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns. Slice them in half and lightly toast them in the oven or under the grill.
  • When the patties are almost done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  • Assemble the hamburgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings and then place the top half of the bun on top.
  • Serve immediately with your favourite sides, such as fries or onion rings.
