Place a skillet or pan over medium heat and add the oil. Let it heat up for a minute.
Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds to it. Let them splutter and release their aroma, which should take about 30 seconds to a minute.
Add the finely chopped onions to the pan. Sauté them until they turn translucent and start to brown slightly. This should take around 3-4 minutes.
Once the onions are cooked, add garam masala, turmeric powder and green chillies to the pan. Mix well with the onions and cook for another 3-4 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavours.
Now, add the baked beans to the pan. Stir well to combine the beans with the onion and spice mixture and bring to a gentle simmer
Once the beans are heated through and flavoured with the spices, add the freshly chopped coriander leaves and cook for another minute to allow the beans to absorb the flavours.
Masala beans are best served hot. You can serve them as a side dish with rice, roti, or bread of your choice. Enjoy your flavourful masala beans!
