Begin by adding chopped tomatoes, chopped red onion, fresh cilantro, a seeded and finely chopped jalapeño pepper, and minced garlic to a blender.
Add fresh lime juice and salt to the mixture.
Blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined.
Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Transfer the salsa to a serving bowl, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to blend together.
When ready to serve, give the salsa a good stir and serve it chilled with tortilla chips, or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or other Mexican dishes.
