Ingredients

  • 250 g All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 100 g Sugar Granulated
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 150 g Pumpkin Puree
  • 60 ml Milk Whole
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For the Glaze:

  • 150 g Icing Sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F) and greasing a donut pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt, whisking them together.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together the granulated sugar and egg until they are thoroughly mixed.
  • Add the pumpkin puree, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the sugar and egg mixture, and stir until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Gradually introduce the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until they are just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Carefully spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity to about 2/3 full.
  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  • After removing the donuts from the oven, allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • For the glaze, whisk together the icing sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth consistency. If the glaze is too thick, add a bit more milk.
  • Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off, and return them to the wire rack to set.
  • Let the glaze set for approximately 15 minutes, and your delectable Pumpkin Donuts will be ready to savour!
