Stir in the double cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt, mixing well to combine.
Once heated through, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Pour the white hot chocolate into mugs, topping each with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of white chocolate shavings for an elegant finish.
Serve immediately.
