Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Honey Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract Optional

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, gently warm the whole milk over medium-low heat, ensuring it doesn't reach a boiling point; you want it to be hot but not scalding.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper into the milk. Thoroughly mix the ingredients.
  • Allow the mixture to simmer for approximately 5 minutes, occasionally stirring. This step allows the spices' flavours to infuse into the milk.
  • Once simmered, remove the saucepan from the heat. If desired, you can enhance the flavour by adding 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Sweeten your turmeric milk with 2 tablespoons of honey, or adjust the quantity to reach your preferred level of sweetness. Stir until the honey completely dissolves.
  • Pour the turmeric milk into your preferred mug and savour this comforting and nutritious beverage.
