200 g Rice 700 ml Water 1 litre Milk 100 g Sugar 1 tsp Salt 50 g Raisins Pistachios For garnishing Almonds For garnishing
In a large pot add the water and bring to a gentle boil.
Add the rice and allow it to gently simmer for 15 minutes on medium heat until the majority of the water has been absorbed.
Add the milk and the sugar then cook for 15 minutes on medium heat ensuring that you stir every few minutes, so the rice does not stick to the pan.
Add the raisons or chopped nuts of your preference then bring the milk to a boil then allow to simmer and thicken to your personal preference
Serve hot or cold and enjoy!
