Easy chicken pasta recipe using fusilli pasta and chunks of juicy chicken. This chicken pasta recipe is simple to make and easy to follow, making it ideal for the whole family. You can't go wrong with chicken pasta.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle boil
Add the pasta to the water and cook for 10-12 minutes on a gentle simmer until the pasta is al dente – al dente refers to when the pasta is cooked just enough to retain a somewhat firm texture with a bit of a bite
Whilst the pasta is cooking in a large pot heat up the oil on medium heat until hot
Finely chop the garlic and add to the pan then sauté the garlic for 1 minute
Add the finely diced onions and cook for a few minutes until soft and translucent
As the onions are cooking cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks then add into the pan and cook for 5 minutes until the chicken changes colour and turns white
As the chicken is cooking cut the bell peppers into bite-sized chunks similar to the chicken chunks then add to the pan
Add the salt and pepper then cook for 5 minutes on medium heat
Add the sweetcorn and cook for a few more minutes
Add the pasta sauce and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat
Drain the pasta and add into the mixture mix until all the ingredients are combined
Cover with a lid and cook for 6-8 minutes on low heat
Serve as a main course alongside some steamed vegetables and enjoy!
