Honey BBQ chicken wings that are juicy, tender, and flavourful. Coated in a generous amount of spices, deep fried until crispy, and then slathered in the best homemade honey barbecue sauce ever.
In a bowl add the chilli powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and egg to the chicken wings then mix to combine and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes
Add the cornflour and plain flour then mix again.
When ready to fry heat a pan with oil for deep frying until medium-hot ensuring that the oil is not too hot.
Shake off any excess flour on the chicken then add the wings into the fryer and allow the wings to cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes until golden brown before flipping and allowing to cook for another 5-6 minutes until golden brown on the other side.
In a pan add the barbecue sauce, honey, and tomato ketchup then mix on low heat until fully combined.
Add the fried chicken wings and coat the sauce onto the wings evenly.
Serve immediately alongside crispy fries and a green salad then enjoy!
